Home Screen

The Home Screen is the main window that opens after the application has completed loading. The top navigation bar appears on all windows and allows selection of the various pages used to create an order. The panel on the right side of the window also has navigation tools along with order and application-wide preference settings and diagnostic tools. The Tip Pane on the left side of the window displays information about products, specials, and tips, as well as links to useful resources.

In the Records application, the Records tool button in the upper right corner activates the main event order creation window. In the ProMatch Events application, the Events tool button in the upper right corner activates the main event order creation window.

Tip Pane

The large area on the left side of the Home Screen is the Tip Pane. This area will display information about products, special promotions, and events. The links contained in this pane will open a web browser to access the web based resources. Clicking the Pounds logo will open our website in a web browser.

Navigation Menu Bar

The Navigation Menu Bar located at the top of the window allows for navigation to the various pages used for creating and submitting an Events or Records order. This is located on all windows in the Events or Records applications.

Home opens the Home Screen window containing the Tip Pane, preference settings, and diagnostic tools.

Start Ordering opens the Layout Area window which allows for non-Events process product creation, similar to using PROS. This also provides access to the product catalogs where packages are created in "Favorites" for use in Events processing.

View Cart opens the Shopping Cart window. This tab also displays the quantity of product items and the product price total as products and services are added to the order. The minimum order price for the product catalog will be displayed until the minimum is surpassed.

Uploads opens the Uploads window for the Order Completion process. This window displays orders that have already been sent, or started, and allows them to be opened again for the purpose of starting a new order based on the previous one or to continue working on an incomplete order.

Events or Records opens the window containing the key functionality for the event order creation process including the event set-up pane and the subject data and images pane.

Memory Monitor

The events process is a very memory intense program. When building an order it is recommended that you not have Java intense programs open. While reviewing an order you can monitor memory usage of the program by mousing-over the Memory Monitor in the upper toolbar of the screen. You can double click on the clock to free up some memory. If it gets close to using most of the available memory we recommend saving the order then shutting down and reopening Records to clear the memory.

Side Panel Tools

The top section of the pane on the right side of the Home Screen contains navigation tools replicating those on the Navigation Menu Bar, allows for entry of your Pounds account number, and allows for the selection of preference settings that will apply to the application processes.

Navigation Tools

Order Products opens the Layout Area window which allows for non-Records processes product creation. This also provides access to the product catalogs where packages are created in "Favorites" for use in Events processing. This has the same function as selecting Start Ordering on the Navigation Menu Bar.

View Cart opens the Shopping Cart window. This tab also displays the quantity of product items and the product price total as products and services are added to the order. The minimum order price for the product catalog will be displayed until the minimum is surpassed. This has the same function as selecting View Cart on the Navigation Menu Bar.

Show Uploads opens the Uploads window for the Order Completion process. This window displays orders that have already been sent, or started, and allows them to be opened again for the purpose of starting a new order based on the previous one or to continue working on an incomplete order. This has the same function as selecting Uploads on the Navigation Menu Bar.

Online Help will open the Event-Records Users Guide in a web browser.

Account Information

My Information displays a field where your 6-digit Pounds account number should be entered. Upon Order Completion, a dialog will prompt for additional information that must be supplied to place orders. This dialog allows the user to provide some basic information needed in order to create and send an order into Pounds.

Preferences

Preferences contains several item selections that affect the way the application behaves.

Start in ordering pane opens Records directly in the Layout Area window instead of the Home Screen when the application has launched.

Show prices (requires relaunch), when unchecked, will hide the prices in the application. Otherwise, lab pricing is shown.

Search enclosed folders, when checked, will search sub-folders during the process of adding Image Thumbnails to the order.

Auto rotate counterclockwise changes the direction of the image rotation applied when auto rotating into a product layout display.

Auto rotate print size, not image rotates single node product layouts instead of images dropped into them.

Diagnostic Tools

The lower section of the pane on the right side of the Home Screen contains diagnostic tools for clearing preferences, clearing the Records caches, and displaying the log file.

Clear Preferences will display a prompt to reset Preferences settings.

Clear Caches displays a dialog allowing the removal of the the application files from the drive, in case these have become corrupted. This may require the application to be downloaded again from the lab web site, however launching from the desktop short cut is generally successful.

Show Log displays a dialog allowing the user to review and copy information contained in the Records application log file.

About shows a dialog with credits and acknowledgements.
